Journalists and Members of the Media

I was an independent contractor in the field of civil resistance from 2007-2012, and this section of my website is a legacy from that time period and therefore is no longer current.  As an independent contractor, I offered services (such as those listed below) to a variety of constituencies.  I still offer many of these services, but now through the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict.

I offer the following services to journalists and members of the media:

  • Presentations and consultations about considerations in covering civil resistance movements around the world.  For example, how can journalists better identify the emergence of civil resistance movements, critically analyze such movements, and assess movement outcomes?
